Jane Brown Changes Her Job
- Synopsis
- A recruiting film for factory work. An attractive upper-class lady heeds the call, leaves her boring typing job, goes on a government trining course, learns how to use tools and read blueprints and then begins work in a factory that makes Spitfires. The commentary stresses the importance and complexity of the work that women are now doing and yet (like NIGHT SHIFT and THEY KEEP THE WHEELS TURNING) seems mildly surprised that they are able to do it.
