Jacob Epstein: Rebel Angel

Synopsis
Using newsreel footage, stills and interviews traces Epstein’s life from his childhood in New York’s East Side Jewish quarter until his death in 1959. Contributors include art historian Dr Evelyn Silber, critic Richard Cork, film director Roland Joffe, sculptors Antony Gormley and Glynn Williams and Epstein’s daughter Peggy Jean Lewis. Includes shots of all his major architectural works, portrait busts and uncommissioned pieces.
