Synopsis
Traces developments in micro-electronics and information technology from the early 1970s. Specially shot film of 1960s valve-based computers is contrasted with today’s ‘supermarket’ approach to personal computers. Shows the changing uses of information technology in the business of Pearl Assurance. Interviewees filmed in the 1990s are contrasted with their views in the early 1980s.
