Synopsis
An interactive CD-ROM exploring social controversy in the USA. Shows women and couples shown talking about the emotional struggles and moral dilemmas they face in thier consinderation of continuing or terminating a pregnancy. Places the issue of abortion in the larger social context of medical, legal, philosophical and religious considerations. By considering the issue in a specific country, it reveals the complex forces at work when a woman decides to have or not have an abortion. In three sections: 1) introduction; 2) case histories; 3) resources, covering background, social and historical perspectives, legal issues, medical facts, philosophical arguments, religious perspectives, case histories, archive, searching for common ground.
