Synopsis
Uses the short animated film THE SANDMAN (a gothic version of one of ‘The Tales of Hoffman’) to illustrate the use of film language. Covers the language of the camera, sound and editing. Enables users to work through these elements of screen language at their own pace and to consider critically the deployment of various techniques and approaches to filmmaking.
