Synopsis
Presents the current understanding of the staging of gynaecological carcinomas with the historical background and recent changes in FIGO staging. Explains the purpose and principles of staging. Demonstrates various practical aspects and steps of FIGO staging together with recent additions of cytology, histology and other diagnostic information. Anatomical drawings, animated graphics, cytology, histology and live video demonstrations of relevant diagnostic methods are used to enhance the understanding of FIGO staging and principles of gynaecological cancer management. Archive films are used to explain the origin of the FIGO committee and their declarations at various meetings world-wide.
