- Synopsis
- Marie Colvin of the ‘Sunday Times’ traces the life of Yassar Arafat, leader of the Palestine Liberation Organisation, from childhood to life as a wealthy engineer in Kuwait, through his years of international terrorism, to his attempts to be recognised as a wrold stateman. Family, friends, politicians and enemies speak candidly about him. Interviewees includes King Hussein of Jordan, Abu Iyad, the alleged leader of Black September, Yehoshafat Harkabi, the former head of Israeli military intelligence, and Paul L Bremer, former head of American counter-terrorism.
