Indonesia Raya
- Synopsis
- Dutch captions explain that the Japanese capitulated on 15 August 1945 and that Indonesian independence was proclaimed on 17 August. The film which follows was produced by Nippon Eigasha (the Japan Film Company) to teach the national anthem to Indonesians. The anthem forms the background to scenes of landscape, civilians training to become auxiliaries, agricultural and factory scenes, boys and girls singing and bayonet drill. The film is from the archive of the Netherlands Film Museum.
