In the Time of Stalin

Synopsis
A collection of interviews with survivors from the Stalin era, which were assembled as part of research for the Thames Television documentary series STALIN. The testimonies are in the original language, sub-titled, and deal with questions of how people accepted terror and were prepared to condemn themselves for the sake of the party, what life was like in the camps and what determined whether some survived or perished and why today some Soviet citizens still look back on Stalin’s time as one of achivement.
