A teacher, John Swift, injured at work, sures for damages; the film describes the development of the case until settlement. Each stage in the action is dealt with briefly so that the overall framework of Queen’s Bench procedure can be shown. Aims to provide illustrations and points of reference and departure for a more general examination of civil procedure. The story is shot on location in the plaintiff’s solicitor’s office, in the Central Office and in the Royal Courts of Justice.
