Discussions in Bioethics: If You Want a Girl Like Me

Synopsis
A short, open-ended drama designed to stimulate discussion of values and ethics in relation to modern medical technology. A teenage girl discovers her new baby has spina bifida and hydrocephalus but she refuses treatment. The doctor explains the consequences of not treating the baby and the mother reluctantly agrees to surgery in order to lessen the immediate risk of brain damage.
