Iceman

Synopsis
Follows the attempts of scientists to examine the body of a man discovered in an Alpine glacier who had been frozen for more than 4000 years. Covers work of laboratories across Europe in radiocarbon dating the body, carrying out forensic tests, and conserving the leather clothing found at the site in 1991. Also deals with political dimensions of Stone Age discovery which was made in disputed Tyrol region of Austria/Italy, and the scientific controversy of how best to handle the find. The new version updates the story with new information about the Iceman’s life and mysterious death.
