Synopsis
Introduces the subject of concurrent engineering and its application in a modern manufacturing environment. The system takes as a basis the communication chain within a company and shows how this may help, or hinder, the sequence of design to manufacture. Presents initially a historical perspecive and demonstrates the various approaches using varioius media-related techniques. Includes diagnostic and formative assessment. Approximately 1-3 hours of teaching material.
