Synopsis
A course video comprising four sequences: 1) British Aerospace - a story-led case study of BAe, showing how the company has changed in response to growing world competition; 2) IBC - a case study looking at the strategic and tactical intent of change within ITV, assessing the cultural implciations, examining the processes by which change was managed, and discussing the roles played by various HRS tools - the new employee agreement, the inventory production system, and the resturcturing into teams; 3) Grampian Health Board - looks at the programme of change carried out by the board in response to the introduction of general management within the NHS; 4) National and Provincial Building Society - looks at changed in the society and the development of its strategy, structure and culture, particularly at the introduction and implementation of varioius personnel strategies in terms of recruitment, selection, appraisal, assessment, and development programmes.
