- Description
- The EU Kids Online project is a multinational network, which aims to stimulate and coordinate investigation into children’s online uses, activities, risks and safety. It employs multiple methods to map European children’s and parents’ changing experience of the internet. It also sustains an active dialogue with national and European policy stakeholders. This report provides an in-depth look at the methodological, ethical and technical challenges involved in the research, exploring
new and creative ways to research the meanings of risks and opportunities online for
children, building on the work of EU Kids Online I to experiment directly with methodological innovations (e.g. online interviews) as well as traditional methods (e.g. focus groups).
