Description
This research conducted by the Institute for Policy Studies in Education, London Metropolitan University, aimed to explore how accessible emerging types of work within the new media and creative industries are seen to be, by young people from ‘deprived’ areas. The findings suggest that those who are using new media technologies in their formal (and informal) learning tended to find this a positive and motivating experience. The research also found that a large number of these students expressed a real interest in pursuing careers in the creative sector which use new media technologies.
