Description

On 19th August 1987, a lone gunman, Michael Ryan, 27, went on a killing spree in Hungerford, Berkshire, that resulted in the murder of 16 people. In a series of four clips (at least one of which dates from the event), witnesses, gunshot victims and emergency services personnel (including Sergeant Paul Brightwell, who spoke to Ryan) describe the situation as it happened, and the gunman. Male interviewer(s) not identified.
