Description

Hostage Sergeant William Gallegos, Marine Guard, answering questions from an unidentified (Iranian?) woman about the US Embassy hostage situation in Tehran. Apparently an interview recorded by Iranian students in Tehran, for propaganda purposes. Date of interview given by Gallegos as 03/12/79. On conditions in which the hostages are being kept; his physical and mental state; views on the Shah, and American support of the Shah; spying. He is invited to give his message to the American people, and his family. No editorial content. Sound level very low; recording quality poor; one false start or very brief clip, then pause before interview proper.
