- Report on the journey of the cortege of fire fighter and Senior Officer Colin Townsley from Soho Fire Station, via Kings Cross Station and Clerkenwell Fire Station to St Paul’s Church, Covent Garden, where his memorial service was held following his death in the Kings Cross underground fire (18/11/87). Tributes were paid to Townsley’s heroism and to his family, wife Linda Jean and daughters Sally and Sarah Townsley. Speakers are the Rector of St Paul’s, the Reverend David Elliott(?); Soho Station Officer, Ray Firth; Vernon Trefry, in temporary command of Townsley’s Red Watch squad.
