Taken for Granted. Programme 5: Television. In this episode of his regular show Richard Robbins travels to Thames Television Centre to see how a television programme is put together. He is on set for the Des O’Connor Show, where he meets floor manager Tony Tyrer, and discusses his role, and the rehearsal procedure. Robbins talks to a cameraman about the visual concept behind the programme, and talks to the musical director and the designer about the on-screen elements. Des O’Connor is interviewed about his role in the show, and the business itself.
