Description
Apprentice Bon Viveur. Programme 1: Champagne and Kosher. Andrew Jones is an apprentice bon viveur, which means he has the love of all good food and drink, and loves to learn about food and drink. He journeys to New York, documenting the trip as he goes, beginning with the plane trip during which he discusses the difference between first class and economy. Upon arrival at New York, he describes the history of the hotels, and talks to an expert about the extensive wine collection in the Waldorf Astoria. The history of champagne, and New York’s champagne market is explored, and he visits some of New York (State’s?) vineyards.
