Operation Overlord: D-Day remembered - an examination of the Normandy invasion 40 years ago. Interviews with Bob Holness; British servicemen from the 6th Airborne Division, the Army Film and Photo Unit and the 4th Armoured Brigade; French liaison officer; German from the 21st German Panther Division; Canadian Lieutenant; nurse from the Alexandra’s Imperial Military Nursing Service. Also contemporary British and French news reports on the landing including Air Commandor William Helmore aboard a Mitchell bomber describing the scene. Also speeches made by Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II; hymns and The Last Post from Remembrance Day with a military fly over.
