Street talks to Sir Stanley Peart, ex-Professor of Medicine at St Mary’s Hospital, Peter (Daniel) Flood, ex-lab boy at the hospital, and Alexander Fleming’s son, Robert Fleming. Professor Alan Glynn, Director of the Central Public Health Laboratory at Colindale, describes how penicillin was discovered.
