A documentary, presented by Andrew Jones, on ladies throughout history who have developed and promoted the various Champagne houses: Joan of Navarre; Nicole-Barbe Ponsardin; Madame Pommeroy; Madame Camille Olry-Roederer; Madame Robert Gratien; Odette Pol Roger; Nicole Martin. Also on how production has changed over the years, and the history of Reims (near which all houses are located). Jones visits the main cellars of Veuve-Clicquot, takes a tour with Comte Louis, discusses Pommery with Patrick Bertand(?), and interviews Eric Sidout(?) of Alfred Gratien; Christian de Billy of Pol Roger; Nicole Martin.
