Description
Mike Carson presents a programme on the River Thames. He is joined by marine biologist Paul Cragg, who tells of the history of the river, from its beginnings to the slow deterioration of the river due to chemicals and harmful substances introduced by the inhabitants of London, and the diseases that stemmed from the pollution. Cragg and Carson travel up the river and discover the marine life (salt and freshwater) that exists, and the repercussions of human interference.
