Description
Nightline. Jack Ashley, Baron Ashley of Stoke, is a Labour member of the House of Lords, and the United Kingdom’s first profoundly deaf MP. Here he is interviewed by Barney Burnham on Nightline, where he discusses his career in politics, the drawbacks of his disability in the job, and his work not only as a politician, but in campaigning for disabled people. Ashley takes phone calls from the general public, who ask him about issues such as disability and discrimination. The show also includes news bulletins and commercial breaks.
