This week’s Network programme is a 2CR Bournemouth production on the Charleston Twenties band of Bournemouth, who play the classic Charleston tunes of the 1920s. The band discuss how they came to be formed, the history of the music, instruments used for the authentic sound, and the musical theory applied to the way the music is arranged. We hear from the audience about the diversity of the band, and the different age groups that enjoy the music. Contains regular musical numbers from the band.
