- A Tale of Two Preachers, presented by Lawrence Spicer. John Wesley was an Anglican minister and Christian theologian who was an early leader in the Methodist movement, along with his brother Charles Wesley. Douglas Wallen, a retired Methodist minister, describes how the Methodist Church came into existence, and the events in the lives of its founders which led to the religious epiphany. Methodist lay preacher, Dr Paul Sangster talks about the hymns written by Charles Wesley, whom he describes as one of the greatest hymn writers. John Tudor, minister of Central Hall, London, describes the city’s links with the brothers. Includes hymns.
