- Description
- The London Interview. Philip Bacon interviews Evening Standard film critic Alexander Walker, who talks about his Protestant upbringing in Portadown, Northern Ireland, where he went to the cinema four or five times a week. Walker says there was no sectarian strife when he was growing up. Despite his political education he eventually moved into entertainment writing, and says his change in direction was a result of psychoanalysis. Interview in two parts, divided by short break in audio.
