Description

Derek Robinson, union convenor of British Leyland’s Longbridge assembly plant in Birmingham, on this morning’s resolution that the dispute should be declared official. He accuses the media (specifically, the Evening Mail) of making slanderous accusations against him and his colleagues. He calls on all BL plants to do everything possible to support them and confirms that there will be no return to work until he has been unconditionally reinstated and Jack Adams had his disciplinary measures removed.
