The unidentified wife of George Lawrie(?), who has been collecting money for the Fishermen’s Appeal on behalf of the families who lost relatives in the Penlee lifeboat disaster (19/12/81), says that around £250,000 has already been raised and the money will continue to be handed to the families despite concerns over the legality of the appeal.
