Description
Members’ Interests, presented by Graham Leach, with Clive Soley MP, Sir Ivan Lawrence, Andrew Puddephatt and Sir Teddy Taylor MP. Clive Soley talks about how encouraged he is by the progress of the Northern Ireland peace process, his interest in the politics of violence, the work he is doing reforming Parliament, why he became an MP, and how his working life goes. Sir Ivan Lawrence and Andrew Puddephatt talk about ID cards. They discuss how soon the Green Paper on the cards will come out, what will be in it, how and whether ID cards will help us, whether it is an open consultation, what will be on the cards, how they would be used, their role in the border control debate, and how popular the card may be. Sir Teddy Taylor presents an audio diary: a day in his work as an MP. He talks about his return to work, how he felt after loosing the Whip, his views on the EU, and how tiring the work is.
