- Description
- Dr Horace Gambi(?) (or Campbell?) of the Working People’s Party in Guyana on the forthcoming presidential elections. He says 23 members of the People’s Progressive Party have been arrested in the lead-up to the election, which Prime Minister Forbes Burnham of the People’s National Congress is expected to win. Dr Gambi has urged overseas voters not to participate in what he calls electoral fraud because most of the overseas electoral register consists of non-existent people. He says the problems come at the end of the year in which opposition leader Walter Rodney was assassinated and his bodyguard Edward Dublin was shot by police. Male interviewer not identified.
