Description

A series of clips about the firemen’s strike which occurred as a result of a pay dispute. The clips include information about why the strikes have occurred; we hear from the firemen’s union about the strikes, and the firemen themselves about the situation. The Army has stepped in to control the country’s fires, and the troops and the public discuss the role they are carrying out. MPs and government officials discuss the situation, and members of the public affected by fires deliver their opinions on the matter. Various, mostly unidentified, speakers.
