Labour Party leader Neil Kinnock says that the Militant Tendency has no place in the Labour Party, and that the party’s reputation cannot be disgraced by such a group. Militant has no formal organisation, and one Militant MP, Terry Fields, is not prepared to stop reading the Militant paper, making a call for free speech and learning from the lessons of history. Another Militant MP, Dave Nellist, says that Kinnock should be attacking the Conservatives, not his own party. Male reporter not identified.
