Stuart Sommerland reports on Tanzanian President Nyerere’s calling of an emergency meeting of the 5 frontline African states to avoid the breakdown in talks at the Lancaster House Conference on Zimbabwe Rhodesia and end the guerilla war being waged by the Patriotic Front. Also to break the deadlock over compensation payments to white Rhodesian farmers if land is taken from them by a black majority government.
