Report on the conviction of 24 year-old Russell Bishop, who was charged with the abduction, rape and attempted murder of a 7 year-old girl. Bishop’s defence counsel says Bishop had been victimised and evidence fabricated by the police after his acquittal in the same court three years ago of the so-called Babes in the Wood found murders. Detective Chief Inspector Tim O’Connor of Sussex CID refutes the accusations. Bishop was sentenced to life imprisonment. Phil Edwards reports.
