Detective Chief Inspector Tim O’Connor’s reaction to the conviction of Russell Bishop, jailed for life for the attempted murder, kidnap and indecent assault of a 7 year-old girl. O’Connor says he feels satisfaction at the verdict but is not prepared to comment on a similar case which remains unsolved - the so-called Babes in the Wood rape and murder of two girls found in Wild Park, Brighton, for which Russell had previously been acquitted.
