- The launch of the Cunard ship Queen Mary 26/09/34 at Clydebank, Scotland, archive recording. King George V gives a speech followed by the christening and a few words by Queen Mary (this was broadcast by the BBC and was the first time many of the people of Britain heard her voice). The Queen Mary is then launched to cheers from the crowd and commentary from an unidentified male reporter. Audio quality poor. BBC Archive piece?
