- British hostages held by Iraqi President Saddam Hussein in Kuwait have returned to Britain. Edward May on the appalling state of the Iraqi army (mainly illiterate young and old men, with poor equipment). Son, David May says having his father back for Christmas is the best present he could have. Keith Swaydon(?) says lots of mistakes were made by the British Government. Foreign Office Minister Douglas Hogg was at Heathrow to welcome the freed hostages home. Joanna Copley of the Gulf Support Group says the nightmare will not be over until every hostage is home. Mark Phillips reports.
