Description

Rob Gurney reports on a car chase through the streets of Coventry where one police constable was shot dead and another seriously wounded. The shootings followed an attempted raid on a branch of the Midland Bank, at Station Avenue, Tile Hill, in the south of the city. The dead policeman was named as PC Gavin Carlton, the injured man as PC Leonard Jakeman. Includes interview with eyewitness Dawn Allen. (It was later announced that 22-year-old David Fisher killed PC Carlton and shot and seriously wounded Leonard Jakeman before killing himself).
