Description

The Guildford Four jailed for two pub bombings in 1974 are to be set free. The Director of Public Prosecutions is expected to tell an Old Bailey judge on Thursday it would be wrong to seek to sustain the convictions and the appeal case will be dropped. Justin Carrigan reports. Includes interviews with Michael Fisher, lawyer for Paul Hill; Marion Hill, wife of Paul speaking as appeal announced; Lord Scarman, Leslie Scarman, who has campaigned for their release.
