Gill Pyrah talks on The Night is Young to the most famous astronomer in Britain, Patrick Moore. He’s written countless books on the subject and has had a long running television series, called The Sky At Night. He discusses his love of space and astronomy, and his newest book, which is aimed at the under tens. Also his rise into the top levels of astronomy, and his status as an amateur in the subject and his role as one of the mappers of the moon for NASA, ready for the Apollo 5 mission.
