- John Alcock reports on the death of a young boy, Robert Corcoran, after inhaling butane gas. His grieving mother, Carmella blames the shopkeeper who sold her 12 year-old son the gas, whilst Chief Superintendent Neil Mulverhill says the crown prosecution service is looking into the death. Dr Michael Heath says the London Hospital Medical School has had to deal with 9 deaths due to solvent abuse already this year, and describes the signs to look out for.
