Description
A thirteen year-old girl has been found not guilty of the murder of schoolgirl Carol Baldwin. The jury at Northampton Crown Court also acquitted the girl of the manslaughter of Carol, who was found dead in a park near her home last March. The accused girl told the court she could not have been responsible because she was taking part in a sex, drinking and aerosol-sniffing session at the time. Lawyer for the accused, Murray Holmes says the verdict has left her very relieved, whilst police spokesperson Pat Percival says police are planning their next step. Margaret Shiels reports.
