Description
Interview with solicitor, Chris Over, on a report into an error at a Devon hospital which has revealed that far more cancer patients than was first thought received radiation overdoses during treatment. In July 1988 the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in Exeter admitted that 153 patients had been bombarded with 25 per cent too much radiation - now the Thwaites Report is believed to show that another 54 people are victims of the mistake. Over welcomes the findings of a second report by Professor Charles Joslin into the medical consequences of the blunder, but says individual patients still do not know how seriously they have been affected. Female interviewer not identified. Broadcast on DevonAir. Audio quality poor (muffled).
