Description
38 sick and elderly hostages have been re-united with their families after flying home from Baghdad following negotiations by former Prime Minister Edward Heath. 200 Britons had been held since the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq. Diabetic John York from Newcastle, speaking at Gatwick Airport, says he feared he was going to die in captivity because the Iraqi authorities wouldn’t give him the insulin he needed.
