- Description
- Interview with Labour Party MP Robin Cook about a decision by the Court of Appeal in London to quash the convictions of 4 men working for Ordtech, Paul Grecian, Bryan Mason, Stuart Blackledge, and Colin Phillips, sentenced in 1992 for selling arms to Iraq. Lord Taylor, the Lord Chief Justice ruled the Government had withheld vital information from the original trial preventing the businessmen claiming the government had turned a blind eye to the export of arms to Saddam Hussein’s regime during the late 1980s. Cook says the court’s decision should lead to the resignation of senior Government ministers, including former Trade and Industry Secretary, Peter Lilley. Male interviewer not identified.
