Description
Brian Ging reports on a decision by the Court of Appeal in London to quash the convictions of 4 men working for Ordtech, Paul Grecian, Bryan Mason, Stuart Blackledge, and Colin Phillips, sentenced in 1992 for selling arms to Iraq. Lord Taylor, the Lord Chief Justice ruled the Government had withheld vital information from the original trial preventing the businessmen claiming the government had turned a blind eye to the export of arms to Saddam Hussein’s regime during the late 1980s. The decision has led to calls for senior Government ministers to quit. Includes interviews with armaments specialist Stuart Blackledge; Paul Grecian, head of Ordtech; Robin Cook MP.
