- Description
- Julie Sedgwick reports on a business reorganisation by Britain’s biggest tour operators, Thomson Holidays. They are scrapping half a million of their package holidays in an attempt to rid the industry of it’s poor reputation. A hundred hotels also face being closed. The move is a response to thousands of disgruntled holidaymakers who have been victims of a price war between tour operators. Includes interview with Charles Newbold, Thomson’s managing director.
